Donovan has now fully recovered from the severe stroke he suffered during Ragnarok, and due to his weakening condition, he has decided to open his school again with the assistance of some of his previous graduates of the 'School of Hardknocks'

What is this school of hardknocks?
The school of hardknocks is a renamed version of a program I ran back in 49. Many of the new Elite hunters were graduates or trainees, and it requires very little effort OOC~ Just a fun thing to do if you want your cat to learn some battle moves from some of the best in the field.

It is essentially a training session that comes in two forms. The Intense course, and the Regular course. Donovan oversees a lot of these lessons, but will occasionally hand off to some of his assistant teachers when his ailments grow too much and he needs to rest.

What makes Donovan qualified?
Donovan is a retired, decorated ex member of the Roman Legionaries feline soldier program. He alongside Karim and Raidon were set upon in Caesar's Civil War, and all three cats bear the injuries such battles birth. Donovan lead many a charge, and has many skills to show for it, even in his Golden years.

What is the difference between the intense course and the regular course?
In character; The intense course lasts 2-3 weeks, and will make your chat train their absolute hardest. It will be gruelling, but will ultimately hone their skills the fastest and the strongest. The regular course is a less intensive course that lasts as long as it takes for cats to meet their goals

Will there be a symbol made for graduates to put on their references?
Yes there will! Its just a matter of getting time to

HOW TO JOIN

Intensive
- Please submit one image of your character asking to join the course! I will reply back with an image of Donovan accepting them, and boom. After that, we'll talk about a 'Trial' for them to complete, which will convince Donovan they have passed. He is less likely to accept or pass cats who do not meet the effort requirement (aka, if you want your character to flunk it for plots, you can always re join this course. Theres no barred entry, and this is basically a more plot heavy route to take for fun!)

Regular
- Just comment below, and I'll add you. You'll officially be part of the class. You can graduate any time you like, and you don't have to draw anything for it. This is the more relaxed version of this plot, and requires no special interactions. All thats required is your comment below, and a dm to say their status as graduated or not so I can add them to the list of graduates <3

Your cat can be anything, a pet or a warden, even a sentinal or a stray, Donovan and his lot don't care at all. All they care about is making sure cats are able to defend themselves, and their humans from danger. They are law abiding folk though. No nefarious cats will be allowed, or cats that have been known to harm humans.

Cubs are not allowed to join, but are able to watch sessions and ask questions as long as they are accompanied by an older sibling or guardian. 6 months and up are able to join

BONUS PROMPT

Draw your cat learning from each of the four teachers, and what they think of them. Then their final assessment with Donovan. This is how you graduate officially, if you'd like.

Vinci
What do they think of her ethos of rehabilitation over violence? Do they like working in a team?

Rhydian
What do they think of being a team leader? Do they prefer to hang back? Do they struggle coming up with a cohesive plan, or are they a natural?

Somnis
Do they struggle without the sense of sight, or do they get surprisingly good at it?

Donovan
How do they feel about learning how to use lethal force if they must? Do they struggle with the course in general? Do they have any grievances to voice to the headmaster, or are they begging for a bigger challenge?

Final assessment with Donovan
For your final assessment with Donovan, his Trial must be a true challenge to their weaknesses. If they are able to overcome it, then they pass. Feel free to discuss with me, or just draw what you think would be accurate to this! These can be physical, like lack of strength (moving a wagon by themselves) or emotional, like overcoming a fear of water, or practicing patience

Note: There is no OOC timelimit to complete any course

- Somnis specializes in tactile battle techniques that work as disadvantages for most. He is proficient in water combat, and learning to fight without one of your senses, such as blindfolding. What will you do if a cat blinds or deafens you in combat with sand or wounds? Without training like this, you might be caught off guard, and killed. Prefers solo hunting to teams. Son of Donovan.
Rhydian, The Legatum Elite and previous graduate
- Rhydian specializes in strategy. He is often a team leader and has a lot of on the field experience. He is as fierce an opponent to meet on the battle field as Vinci or Somnis, and the three tend to form a nice tag team in the wild. Prefers to work in small teams. Son of second to last Warden leader, Judas
Vinci, The Draca Elite and previous graduate
- Vinci specializes in Empathy towards the captured, and team work. While she has as much experience as Rhydian, she is his complete opposite, and believes in rehabilitation over execution at every step. She has been known to excel in a team since apprentice hood, and use her words over her claws in some cases to capture cats. Prefers to work with others then alone, and has first hand experience in what the empires are capable of after her capture in stone. Daughter of the final Warden leader, Mihail.
