Hauli found Sobien after his clan, as he called them, were destroyed by poachers for their parcuilar traits and pelts. Being the only survivor, when he heard the large lion pushing his way through the bush, he tried his best to be as big and harsh as he could.
Hauli merely sat down, and after a while, they started to talk. His calm nature calming Sobi down in turn. Eventually he was calm enough to follow the elder lion back to his home, and there he was introduced to the other cubs.
He still feels lonely and out of place in his adopted home, but, finds comfort in the fact that he's not the only odd one out. Adopting cats seemed like a common thing, and barely anybody was related to one another. He feels close to Bundi as well, who did his best to make him feel at home.
It was a far cry from his old life, but... at least he was alive. He must be greatful to his gods for that.
