When I saw this photo [link] of this very beautiful woman I had to do a drawing based on her face and expression. I gave her light hair as I thought it would be interesting and a little different. I feel very happy with the outcome of this drawing. It's been a while since I did a portrait in pencil. 2007 was definitely a year of pastel and charcoal for me but I want to use the graphite pencil more this year.Made with a HB and 2B pencil.

beautifully done, as always. i know you've mentioned in the past that you would like to work on using the pencil darker, which i agree. perhaps if you pushed your shadows a little further, or if not possible as with this figure for example, possibly making the background darker? it would add for better contrast and the piece as a whole wouldn't appear so washed out.
