Kittens are the cutest
I used the little kitten, Mauie, of my friend Lisa to create this. Loved how he looked so searching, I obviously had to put a butterfly in it. It reminds me of my mom's kittens last summer when they would jump around in the garden smelling everything and catching butterflies. They are such adorable creatures, it's hard not to love them.
I worked on this piece for several weeks, striped cats are definitely the most difficult and time consuming ones. Nevertheless I loved drawing this one and I am quite happy with the outcome.
Made with soft charcoal on Winsor&Newton smooth drawing paper.
