I'll have to think up a better title for this, hehe.

It was first rendered in 3D, then with a lot of post-editing in Corel Painter.

I did it for a Color Concept assignment, called color subjugation in which I had to depict the very same thing, but totally alter the theme using only color. This is the "Earth Version" of my strange world. The question should be asked: What's stranger, something with totally unrecognizable surreal elements, something consistently strange? Or is it something with strangeness among a familiar setting. What has more dissonance?

Anyhow, the actual subject matter was originally a geothermal power plant. I had the idea of something that would set remote controlled slow-release detonation device that would pump up a steady stream of thermal energy at volitile points for consistent power generation.

The figure is me, in the position of a tourist.
