I used a bit of gears, prof lights and accessories along with having the space. I normally use 3-4 lights.

Great makeup for someone who doesn't do it regularly. The contouring is very nice, the only thing I would mention is on someone with close set eyes, try a light--almost white highlight in the tear ducts, it doesn't have to be a "visible" part of the makeup so much as caught by the light... it will give the illusion of more widely spaced, larger, eyes.

No worries, you can learn from the makeup artists that you get. While they are doing the makeup you can ask questions
I usually have the lighting set up done prior to the arrival of talents, and then I can just ask questions and watch them work and learn. For big shoots I will need to get a makeup artist because there isn't much time allowed for one-man show.
