"I'm so sorry!" A sob shook her chest. Head dropped, limbs shaking, tail tucked between her hind legs. It was all she could think to say. If she had just been able to apologize before. The pain was like fire in her chest, as horrible as it had been the day Khepri had died.

No response. Eyes, even more gold than they'd been in life, did not even flicker. Her expression was nothing. Blank, devoid of all the telltale signs of the wolf she'd been. But she had turned her head, like she'd sensed a presence.

Golaneir lurched. Was she herself even awake? The line of consciousness wavered so much she was almost certain she was simply dreaming again. But it was so vivid. And so... peaceful. Not like the nightmares. She simply stood, glowing, transparent, untouched by the earthly plane. No scent, no marks on the ground. But she was there.

hello did anyone order more Sad™? I spent quite some time on this, hence it coming out kinda late xD but I'm fairly pleased with the result. whoohoo! ghosts!
