He's absolutely beautiful! And believe me - I see lot's of dogs everyday but he would definitely catch my attention for longer. ;D Btw, he is anΒ tervueren, right? He looks less... furry, than those I've seen before.

Wow, nice to hear that you think so Yes, you're correct, he's a terv. But he's a working line, which means that he's not as fluffy as tervs, especially show tervs, usually are. I love his fur, it's so easy to keep clean, the dirt just rinses off, it keeps him warm at winter and cool at summer, don't have to brush him too often either.Β

Is he your first Belgian Shepherd?Β Curious what dogs you've worked with prior to this lovely fellow.Β I want to work up to having a mal, but the only high energy / high drive dogs I have worked with is aussies and border collies.Β

My first dog was an adult Great Dane, I got her when I was 13 y/o, she had a lot of problems (she was aggressive and had a lot of fears, high drive for a Dane also), my second dog was a Jack Russell, which was the dog from hell, huge amount of problems and that energy was the Β worst I've seen on a dog! My third dog was then da Vinci, my first working dog and Belgian.. and he's easy as nothing. After those dogs I've had, he's the dog that's easiest to handle. Yes, high energy, high drive, BUT easy to control - though I've had him from puppy, and the other two came to me as rescue dogs. And I'm not saying Belgians are easy dogs, they are not. Their energy makes me sometimes crazy, and they react differently to things and situations than many other breeds do, they think and react in seconds, which makes them a pain in the ass sometimes.
But they are wonderful dogs, really. They are loyal, live to work and has a great will to please. But they need to work to not be monsters.

Awesome, thanks for the info!Β Having dealt with aggressive and rescue dogs, I can empathize how stressful they are.
What does an average day with your Belgian Shepherd consist of?
