Interesting picture. A barrel that short would have abusive muzzle blast, to say the least.
Probably a typo, but .308 Winchester is 7.62 x 51mm NATO, my good man.

im well aware of the unpleasantness of the recoil,to overcome the worst of the recoil a complete spring system has been designed into the stock (hence the size),
the idea behind this is INSTANT stopping power, a 9mm or .45 is ok, but if your hit with a .308 within 20m your definatly going down rather quickly
