Looks very nice. I think you should illuminate the background with a secondary flash in order to avoid the black area. Or you can use the ambient light as main light and use the flash to illuminate the background.

i kinda don't mind.. i was shooting raw and could have made that area brighter, but then her face wouldn't be in this good contrast to the background. i think this is good for me

You can open the RAW in Camera RAW and light the background then shift click on the Open button and you will open the RAW in PS as an smart Object, then right click on that layer and select something like "duplicate", which is not just Ctrl+Cmd+J or duplicating the layer, it's something more, it creates a virtual copy of the smart object. Then you can double click on that smart object and Camera RAW will opne again and you can adjust the other part of the image, then mask out what's not need
