Description Pronouns- She/her

Upon knowing me, you gotta know my dogs. To start (while searching for a better picture of Siri) meet Odin!

Odin is 1yr 8m old English Mastiff (Off Standard/ Working Type). Odin fell into my life shortly after losing my first dog Magnum. Odin is extremely confident and well rounded to know who is a good person and who isn’t. He’s brindle in coloring. Biggest teddy bear (once you know him) you’ll ever meet!! One thing I’ll say is I’m his world, which means don’t cross me or attempt anything negative, a mastiff isn’t likely to go all the way to full protection UNLESS you give them a valid reason. Mastiffs of all types doesn’t just engage right away. People are already deterred from the size alone. Mastiffs (all types) will use their size first when alarm bells go off. Next comes the barking. If you have ever heard a mastiff bark then you’ll know it’s deep and low. A mastiff will do anything to keep people away from their person, in this case Odin sees me above everyone and will do anything to make sure I’m happy and safe. If size and barking don’t work, well you might as well punch your death ticket cause the final part of mastiffs is engage. If all else fails a mastiff will engage into attacking the threat. I’ve been slammed by Odin and it’s like a semi truck. On top of that Odin resembles what the true ancient mastiffs looked like 4,000+ years ago. And boy des he have speed.

I’ve put hard work and training into Odin that he’s never harmed anyone, but I encourage his guarding side as that’s the nature of all mastiffs. So when he warns me someone is around or walking up on us I praise him. When it’s someone he knows he’s a giant ass puppy.
Everything started training wise from the moment I brought Odin home as a puppy. Hand feeding, potty training, socializing and training has shaped Odin into the perfect dog. He’s solid on recall, he doesn’t resource guard, not food aggressive, not dog aggressive, etc.. he’s everything I could’ve ever wanted.

Odin brings out the best in me. He’s the goofiest dog around. And having to grow up with small dogs I sometimes wonder if he thinks so. He’s stubborn and does what any mastiff does and try to get away with it. Owning this breed isn’t what people think or say it’s like. Yes he’s a ‘gentle giant’ but you only get that IF you dedicate the work.

After properly introducing to Odin he will be youre best friend for life. That one meet and greet and you’re welcome into the circle.

Besides owning a giant and feeding 10cups a day. A mastiff isn’t like other dogs. They are eager. People stigmatize that they are dumb and aren’t capable. Not true. Not true at all!!! When you put in the effort and work a mastiff is just as smart and eager to work than any working dog. Oh! That’s the kennel group they fall under ‘Working Group’! They are a working dog, and once you research and understand mastiffs and how to utilize them, they are capable of everything.

Odin was originally suppose to be my PSD but due to hardships and how society treats SDs and the handler Odin was washed. He’s now ESA and still performs his tasks from time to time when needed.

This is dog is my Pride! I don’t fear walking down the street anymore since Odin. People don’t mess with me because you then mess with a 130lb mass of muscle.

Odin is my life and if anyone ever in my personal life wants to meet him then they have a friend!!
