You're most welcome!! For some reason, I am not being notified when you post a deviation. I checked my friends list to be sure your name was ticked so I would get a notification. Another one the the bugs, I guess. If I hadn't been on your page yesterday, I would have never known you had posted anything. I hope you don't think I am rude.

Yes I do, your subject-model is more beautiful, and the air of mystery around her is much more pronounced than his is, I think! And those eyes, I love green eyes, always have!

Yes, I can understand that, by our standards she probably seems rather archaic. But to think that everything Leonardo used, all of them, had to be created from scratch, tinkered with, experimented with, doing the trial and error thing, and then that these paintings have lasted centuries, that to me, is the real phenomenon! I think Da Vinci was a genius! He had a wonderfully curious mind and I think he was born in the wrong century! I think he would have fit in well in this day and age! But as a painter I am not impressed with his works.
I actually had the privilege of seeing Rembrandt's "The Descent From the Cross" in 1985. I had gone to the World's Fair in New Orleans and one of the exhibits was from the Vatican. It was profoundly moving! There was such an impact, such a feeling that they could step out of the image! It is one of the highlights of my life! It was very dramatic, and I cried too! I was in my 30s then!

Yes, I am a very emotional person, very tenderhearted and passionate about many things. I agree, it is like seeing a miracle! I know when I saw that image, and it was gigantic, larger than life, actually, it seemed that they could step out of the image. It was very profound. The exhibit was amazing, even though I am not Catholic. When you went into the room where the image was, you walked in a long corridor that had a slight angle leading up. Vaulted ceilings, A very large room. At the end on the far wall, was this work of Rembrandts, and it was so powerful, so beautiful, so realistic, it had such a strong and deep impact! I'll never forget it!

Well, Bless your heart! It is amazing how cruel children can be, isn't it? I never understood that, except that I think it is that if we don't fit the mould according to the masses, then something is 'wrong' with us! Well, I will remain the different person that I have always been! I agree with you. Our trials, tribulations, failures, all those things teach us about life, and we do become stronger because of it!
I was so miserable in school that when I reached the age of 17, I dropped out of school. Went back 13 years later, took the GED test cold, and passed it. Even went to college for a while, but I couldn't work full-time, raise my daughter full-time, and go to college full-time. So I dropped out of it! But that is another of those things that is a highlight in my life, getting my diploma!
