Description
The Weedy Seadragon (Phyllopteryx taeniolatus) is virtually unmistakable in the fish world, provided you don't initially mistake it for some seaweed! Both it an its Leafy counterpart are very difficult to maintain in captivity, even more so than most sea horses; but the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, CA, is one of the few to maintain them successfully, and it is among the elite few who have even successfully bred this peculiar species.
