Description
Mother & daughter, people from the building are taking care of them as much as they can. Note: If you are not able to take good care of pets (cats & dogs), do not keep them at all if you are going to abandon them when they grow up.There are a lot of people in our country (Serbia) that want cute kitty or puppy for their kids to play, and when they grow up people just let them go and take another small and cute animal.
Sometimes people take dogs to some village and let them there, because dogs can come back if they are close to the home...
Without shelters for stray animals in a big city they are lost, it's sad, but true... pets are not guilty for being on the street, they are not toys ...
I rescued and found home for many abandoned kittens, but I just can't save them all... and our streets are filled with stray cats and dogs and country is doing nothing about that. Thank you all for your comments about abandoned pets, I really appreciated your opinion.

Also I live in germany where the animals situation is better, it's still sad to see how much unwanted/abadoned animals we get each year in the shelter where I work.
And only because people just want to have cute babies once... or they get sick and get abadoned...

We actually have a "clan" of cats in our neck of woods, we took a couple in that were sick or injured, but we let the rest just stay there and we named all them after warrior cats, and my mom actually rescued a hurt owl from the streets, it was about to get hit by a car and she stopped it, the memories are cloudy but we kept it in the storage room until its wing was healed, and we gave it a lot of deli meat so It wouldn't starve DX but we let it go and now it comes around now and then to have some deli meat. XD But all in all, we usually bring in hurt animals, we lose some, like a baby rabbit and we win some like the owl. Animals have feelings too!

People believe cats and dogs are "animals". Technically, they are, but they have minds that are smart, and intelligent, and they are not supposed to be treated like garbage, because they care, and have done nothing to hurt us. It's sweet that you are acting for them, and helping them.

This made me cry. I can't believe that people do this. Don't just get a kitten or puppy then rid of it when it gets big. My cat grew up and isn't as cute as a kitten, but I kept him and I love him to no end. There are way to many strays in my community and some of them don't make it (if you know what I mean). I't not fair to them, they are living and have feelings just like people. Β

I hate when people abandone animals -.- In my village abandoned cats arrive and search for a new home, and me and my parents try to give them a shelter and food. The last one is a little cat (I think one or two years old) who is quite scared, but we feed him and give a refuge for the night and bad days.

See, I don't understand why people would do that. When I move out, I plan to have cats and kittens to take pictures of, and some other animals too. So when they get old I'll just love them more, no leave them. Any cat on the streets are going with me

I have changed my view recently from all humans being bad, to only most are. there are good ones too. and it is the good ones job , or burden, to save the other creatures from our own.Β which is really saddening that we have to save others from us. humans are suppose to be so evolved and intelligent but there is so much lack of heart. with so many religions in the world one would think there are enough spiritual teachings that there would be more heart but sadly no.

I have sitting on my lap a kitten I found at one week old. Β The neighbors had found her mother's nest fell down from the roof of their garage, and she had nowhere to move the kits. Β Her sibling was already dead by the time I got to her. Β She's now about 4-5 weeks. Β I am very much in support of spaying and neutering cats, because that means that no feral kittens are born and no cat has to go through raising them or being raised on the streets.

If I had infinite funding and space I would have a lot more paws running around the house.Β The current count in the house is 32 ((4 cats, 4 dogs) or 34 if you count how big my German Shepherd's paws are.) )
I have a hard time understanding how a person could abandon an animal.Β The 2 cats and 2 dogs that are 'mine' are my life and I couldn't ever bring myself to part with any of them.Β My two cats rush the door whenever I get home from work, the dogs are usually outside singing to come in and say hello - it's a kind of love that I have never experienced from a person and likely never will.Β To abandon something that loves you unconditionally - it's too cruel to put into words.Β And animal abusers are even worse.Β My huskyxaussie cross was a rescue from a bad home - poor thing wouldn't come into the house and spent the first week in a crate when I brought her home and wouldn't come out unless she absolutely had to.Β It's been almost 2 years since I brought her home and she is finally starting to trust people - this past month was the first time I ever had her 'sing' and 'talk' in excitement when I arrived home... Little things like that are amazing and yet people can toss these creatures aside like they were an old broken toy in favor of a newer model.

I dislike people who buy a cat or dog or any pet and then ditch it. 
These two are beautiful :heart" I love mama cats coat. Lovely colours and little missy there has a cute cheeky face! X] If it was up to me I would adopt as many cats as possible and be a crazy cat lady!

My cat Yoda, is one of the only kittens who I could get to come close to me, the other 3 were and are terrified of humans. Someone left them in our neighborhood, they were only 6-8weeks tops. Its so sad. D:

Similar problems in China, but even worse, often people get their pets stolen in China, many of them end up on the "fresh market" (the place where they sell fresh vegetable and freshly butchered meat)

I love every cat I come across, every time I've gone to Petco I'd go to the cats and play with them until my parents were done shopping for my actual cat and then there was a tremendous struggle to leave them when I was called, I just do not get how people can just leave such loving bundles of joy on the street.

Thank you for finding homes for as many as you have. My own cat Luna was a stray. She was just put out with her mom and brother. She was just a kitten then. For 13 1/2 years I have looked at her and thought about the unfortunate person that will never get to meet this amazing animal because they thought that dumping animals is an okay thing to do.

I know at times it may feel like what you are doing is not making a difference, but it is. It makes all the difference in the world to the cats that have new homes and to the homes that are now a little brighter. It helps people become more aware of this problem so that maybe one day it wont be.

I don't understand how people get away with treating animals like this. If it was a human they left behind then there would be an outrage at it and big consequences! but since they're cats...no apparently that's no big deal to way too many people. Makes me furious!
Poor babies! Hope they get a proper home, they deserve it.Β
My plan...Adopt pets for the rest of my life rather than children....Already have 2 rescue girls (sisters) which I got when they were 14 weeks old

Calicos aren't a breed, they're a coloration. A few different breeds (including domestic shortair) can be calicos. And the point to this is abandoned cats in general, not because of their looks. I don't like persian cats too much, but to me it's equally as upsetting to see an abandoned persian cat than it is to see any other kind of cat. Let's try to look past appearances and see this for what it is.

Uh.. thanks for that... I didn'tΒ mean JUST calicos. Any abandoned animal is heart breaking to see. All in all I have no idea how to respond to this. Personally I think cats taste good, but I prefer dogs. Talk about looking past appearance.

We got the same problem in our neighbourhood.Β If they would only sterilize there cats, there wouldn't be so many unwanted kittens. They have so many, they can't care for all of them anymore. It's sad.

Gosh. My family has rescued a lot of animals, mostly cats. One of the cats was from the street.
Cats are good at surviving in lots of places but it's better if they can be taken care of by someone.
Anyway, these cats are very pretty. I hope they're doing okay. It's nice that the people are taking care of them.
There's a stray cat by the place I used to live and people are feeding her/him.

i wish that people that do this can feel how the animals feel to have a warm safe home ripped away from them it is not fair to them if you buy or get a pet you are making a commitment to look after that animal till it dies i wish peolple understand that i also struggle with that we rescued a female cat witch was pregnant.Β It sad how cruel people can be.

I hate people who abandon their pets. I refuse to let go of my pets until they die or I will find them a good new home. No animal should be left on the streets to die.
