Description The original shot came from Margret Falls...a natural fantasyland in an ancient forest in B.C. (Canada)
This is a surrealistic attempt to capture its spirit.

Thanx...had a lot of fun figuring this one out.
It is part of a larger pic..

The internet resolution is much lower than the original, but it gives you an idea of the full picture.

Now this is cool, though I think it counts more as abstract than fantasy. The difference between the two can be very fuzzy at times. I like the eyes at the bottom best, their expression is priceless.

Thanx again...this pic is part of a larger file....I have a fuller version but it had to be vastly reduced(about 100x) for net veiwing, and lost a lot of detail...here is the link...it gives a better idea of the whole piece..

You sure have squezed as much as pos in this pic, worthy of a desktop pic id say and a fav of course!
I love the red patterns and stuff at the bottom and the faint caves and sand dunes thru the blue waterfall like effect, amazing job. And 400 megs!! MG: submit some more

Thanx!!
This deviation has been like an enormous hopper...been sort of using it as a bin to dump all my ideas, mush them together, and see what comes out of it...about 90% gets shovelled into the delete bin, but its worth the 10% that works.

if you are going to do symetric in a graphic it is best if it is down for the whole piece, otherwise is just seems awkward. a lot going on here and lots of colors. quality of these are also very nice. good abstract work.

Thanx....this pic is only a small part of an unfinished 490 meg poster. There is a full shot of it in my gallery, although it has been hugely reduced in size and detail....check it out if you want. [link]

"I don't need drugs to enjoy this...just to enhance it!"

I'm not much on analyzing art and all that crap, but this is definitely the coolest thing I've seen since [link] , can't wait to see it completed. Amazing colour, I can't get over it.

Wow, and you're only partially done?! Really great piece, you've just got so much in it that it comes out to look really really beautiful. And 200 layers?! I would never have the stamina for such a task. Nicely done!

Hehehe....that is only the the bottom middle of the whole pic....which is approaching 400+ megs and almost 200 layers.
here is a low res veiw of the whole...missing lots of detail in the web reduction, but what the hell..

skorned-wolfe [2004-10-05 01:50:53 +0000 UTC]

A bit too complicated and colorful for my tastes, but I can't really make an adequate judgement since this is only a piece and I don't know what you're going for. The face was put in well with the waterfall, but the animals don't match up with the size they're supposed to be relative to each other, but again, I don't know if you were going for that.

zorchmedia In reply to skorned-wolfe [2004-10-07 05:58:26 +0000 UTC]

The theme of the pic is a celebration of a wonderful exotic cactus known as 'Peyote', long used by Indian Shamans to induce elaborate colorful visions and ecstatic sensations...not to mention, a direct link to 'the other worlds' (whatever that means)
It is a very complicated and colorful in the human mind.

Thanx!! The post I sent you is only a part (bottom middle) of the whole pic...there are over 200 layers so far...it is approaching 400 megs in size...been working on it off and for about a month or so....close to done, but it will take a while to clean the final copy up....figured that making one really good work would be better than churning out a bunch of lesser pics...problem is...it feels like it will never be done...but when it is you will be the first to know....Thanx again for the positive encouragement.
