Todas las poses fueron copiadas directamente de comics viejos (finales de los 40's, principios de los 50's) de Plastic Man, hechos por Jack Cole.Fue la mejor epoca del trabajo de Cole en comics, de no haber sido por su triste decicion en la vida, Cole pudo haber sido incluso mejor que Will Eisner (siempre he puesto a Eisner y a Cole en el mismo nivel, ninguno mejor que el otro), su forma de narrar historias con las imagenes fue unica y no ha sido igualada por nadie desde entonces (y nunca lo sera).
Bueno, aparte del tomo 5 de Wyliman, estoy trabajando al mismo tiempo en un especial de Dia de Muertos. Las tiras las voy a dejar con el mismo estilo que he trabajado hasta ahora (aunque no dudo que se cuele algo de esto por ahi), pero el numero especial va a estar bastante influido por el trabajo de Jack Cole.
Como siempre, es my pequeño escaparate para experimentar.

All the poses where copied directly form old Plastic Man comics (late 40's, early 50's), done by Jack Cole.
It was the best time from Cole's work in comics, if it wasn't for his sad descition in life, Cole could have been even better than Will Eisner (i always put Eisner and Cole in the same level, no one better than the other), his way of telling stories with pictures was unique and no one has matched it since then (and never will).
Well, apart from Wyliman's issue 5, i'm working at the same time on a Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) special issue. I'll leave the strips with the same style i've been working to date (but i don't doubt some of this might get in there too), but the special issue will be heavely influenced by Jack Cole's work.
As always, is my little show window for experimentation.

bwaaahahahahahaha!!! no sabia xD, es solo que eh visto algunos dibujos del el y crei que aun vivia el muchacho. Desde hace ya un buen que queria saber el nombre nadamas que en las ilustrasiones que habia visto en playboy, nunca dijeron su nombre, tal vez en la contra portada a un lado de los editores pero como la revistya era en ingles ps ni idea.

Wise study. Jack Cole was one of the VERY best ever. I think I'll be doing some similar study again soon.

mario you've done it again you have inspired me.this is some nice work here man.i tell you i had a conversation with an artist a while back and they had no clue who eisner,kirby or preston blair was.i think we should as artists learn from the masters.their stuff still blows me away.
