Description Okay, so I got my hands on a slice of gorgeous drusy quatz and was going to just keep it as a souvenir, but I think my family would have been disappointed if I hadn't immediately wrapped it... like I did. lol SO.... um right, specs:

Drusy quartz geode slice wrapped in 20 gauge sq Argentium Sterling Silver.

Argentium Sterling Silver is the highest quality of Sterling Silver available today and is highly tarnish resistant. Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, Argentium is still the 92.5% silver but it replaces some of the copper with the element Germanium which gives it a higher tarnish resistance and less people are allergic to it than just normal Sterling Silver.

That's a chalcedony variety - probably an agate or onyx

Yup, but I don't know which for sure, and chalcedony by nature is all some type of quartz, so it works out

See. I'm loving the rearrangement. Keep finding 'new' goodies thinking 'how did I miss that!!!' Love these druzy slices. Thanks to magpie-poet I'm a devoted addict. So glad you didn't leave this one as a souvenir!

Lol yeah, I have quite a few geode slices that I can wrap now too, I went to one of my suppliers and picked up their small geode halves and go "can you slice these for me for wrapping? And they did So I've got some really gorgeous pieces to wrap in the future.

beautiful piece--the way you wrapped it doesn't interfere with the natural beauty of the stone, but just gives it a frame. very nice work.

Very nice, simple, doesn't obscure the stone.

Thank you I actually had a lot of curls that I cut out because of how much the stone already has going on.

Nice piece right there! the simple wrap really brings out the texture, sparkle, and pattern of the stone. Sterling wire was an excellent choice for this stone. And I just love the way drusy stones sparkle! Very pretty.
