Description MOAR UGLY ELVES

The speaker looked, in the lack of a better word, weird. For one thing, he wore so much gaudy jewelry upon his bright red and purple raiment that it was a small miracle he did not keel over under the sheer weight of them. He was ugly, probably born before the first dinosaurs, and held a long-stemmed pipe nestled in one of the holes of his sparse, yellow, broken teeth. The contents must have been quite foul, judging by the toxic green smoke emanating from the bowl.
---
The weirdo called Sir steepled his fingers, and curiously measured at the peculiar creature up and down with his single good eye. A deep scar ran across the right side of his face, plunging briefly underneath an eyepatch. Not that it anyhow disturbed the general chaos thereon. Even without this detriment, his head would have appeared as if someone had first kicked his visage in a couple of times and then driven a full-laden cart over it.

Guarh'amaaz G'Uhageid was more comely about 17500 years back , but otherwise hasn't notably changed, excluding the fact that he's hardly on the level of a cheap trickster with his spellcasting any more. Disgusting old pervert and basket of bad habits. Nobody demands you to use him as a role model.

Note the slight name changes, if you're one of those brave individuals, who have ventured to peek at the shoddy draft.

Started this damn thing ages back, but it just wouldn't cooperate. Had to redraw huge chunks over and over again. But wanted to finish it before I altogether would lose my inspiration. Dunno how it turned out.

The Curse of Rha-kan'Ocka belongs to me.

Heh, what description! Although he still doesn't look SO bad in my eyes...

Something I've always loved about TCORO - DAYUMN are your elves ugly and brawny. But damned appealing too. *cackles* I do enjoy reading about this horny pervert.

Oh! Here's a way to study smoke - incense sticks! Vanilla's usually pretty non-invasive, and incense-smoke trails are much like cigar/pipe smoke.

In general, fantastic, as others have said. Your linework and control are amazing.

However...

The owl thing over his bad eye? I can't tell if that's meant to be a patch, or a tattoo on the inside of the socket, or something else. The perspective is wrong, for either of those cases. It looks like an afterthought - an addition you made after the picture was finished, and weren't able to fully model. The detailing on it is beautiful, but it breaks the 'genuine' aura of the rest of the pic.

Nitpick: Your smoke and smoke rings need work. Even if you're going for stylized, they look artificial. Light a candle, and try drawing the smoke using charcoal. If you need more smoke, blow it out and record a video, then study it frame by frame.

Further nitpick: the blur you used on the top right of the top-knot doesn't work for me. It is non-harmonious with the rest of the hair, and reminds me that the art went through Photoshop. Sharpening or re-drawing that area, taking care with the boundaries, would help the image.

(You DID ask for it!)

Yes, but it was helpful. Thanks!

The eyepatch bothered me too. Guess I'll need to redraw that. The 'hotoshop effect' (or in my case Paint Shop Pro) is maybe fixable by using a coarser brush on the top knot. The effect is however not utterly unavoidable, because this was done digitally from the scratch, and has no real ink anywhere.

Smoke: I don't own a video camera (which would be the best way to study smoke, methinks). Any idea whether there might be such recordings available on the net somewhere?

Man, I love him. Or at least the stare he's giving us. Just the pipe shows how much class this guy has!
And the description was just striking! 8D

Thanks. ^^
Well, he is a highlord by birthright, but I'm afraid his sense of style, which is no sense at all, negates some of this 'class'. The guy thinks that the more garish and gaudy something is, the better, and he clatters when he moves due to all the umpteen trinkets he never tires to carry. XD

I thought he looked familiar! But it wasn't until I looked at the "temptation" pic that I remembered..

No offense, but he is ASS-UGLY! Gah!!

He is supposed to be. Truly ugly and creepy. XDD Although, people generally don't get prettier when they age.

some people do.. for a bit. Then it does a u-turn and suddenly you could be related to the tollund-man.

But isn't the Tollund fellow well preserved for his age?

There are enough bishietastic purdy-faced elf lords in other literature, so I wanted something a bit different. Besides, he has handsome enough sons and grandkids in several generations. Or, as much as one can stretch the definition, as these hirsute half-giants aren't exactly related to Middle-Earth elves. XD

Oh yes he was XD I think they estimated him to be around his 30's or something?

But yeah, we get enough bishies in anime.

Yeah, that plus 2400 years of lounging around in a bog.

Damnit, now you got me all intrigued by the bog sacrifices of the early iron age. XD I need to find a book or something on these.

Oh man, I want a pipe like that.

I like how the cartilage in his ears has gone all floppy with age. Or maybe it's all the jewelery.

It's the age, although undoubtedly those stupid trinkets have sped it up. XD The phenomenon usually just affects the ears in this 'species', though, not other parts of the body.
