"We were supposed to make a heart. Like this." Vegi complained. She curved her fingers and thumbs together, showing him the symbol again. Severos glared at her hands.
"That's not a heart." He grumbled. Again he thrust his clenched fist forward, thumb extended. "This is a heart."
"What's with the thumb?"
"It's the vena c- You should know this! You're a surgeon!"
"How are we supposed to work together on that?" Vegi asked. "And second, shouldn't there be an aorta?"

Severos gave an annoyed grunt, wrapping his other mailed fist over the first, the second thumb thrust upward. He shook his hands in emphasis. Vegi shook her head in bewilderment.
