I was on vacation in Italy! ❤️🇮🇹❤️ Yeah, the destination was a last minute change at the start of summer but me and my siblings were overjoyed because our family as a whole has never been abroad together. (Save for visiting Austria but that’s entirely different.)

Let me say this, Italy is such a beautiful country! It has a very different aesthetic compared to its neighbours, and we already noticed the change once we crossed the border. The architecture and the colorful buildings were our favorite. The small villages and the beachside towns are so lively and full of life.

But seriously, Italy is so colorful. I love that. Plus it’s very crowded in a very fashionable way that I can’t really describe. We just got the vibe that people crowd their stuff together very tightly in the shops, in the gardens, in the streets, in the town even but it all looks fine and nothing seems out of place. It was a very weird experience compared to Austria, where everything is very orderly and chaos is almost nonexistent.

And Italians…!!! ❤️❤️ They are so friendly! Even if there is a language barrier (only I speak fluent English in my family, my younger brother speaks some German and my dad only speaks Hungarian XD) they still find a way to convey what they are trying to say. I guess body-language is an important part of that. They really do use their hands to communicate everything. And it works! My little sister really enjoyed watching Italians converse, as she loves the language dearly and has been learning it for some time on her own now.

I also loved the carefree atmoshpere. Nobody was running anywhere. People are so chill with time that it felt comforting. I need to learn how to keep my cool like that and not fret about not being sharp on time everywhere. (Because I have the bad habit of going to places almost an hour before I supposed to so just I never be late. It’s kind of annoying.)

All in all, me and my family had a great time and we enjoyed our vacation immensely. As if we were teleported away from problems and stress altogether.

We were quite sad to leave. Staying another week would have been so good….Anyway, I love you even more Italian folks, you have such a nice country! 💕
