This is an entry for The Folding Challenge: synconi.deviantart.com/journal…

So, the theme was BOLDLY FOLD AS YOU'VE NEVER FOLDED BEFORE, and I didn't doubt on which book take of the shelf. I bought it thinking of having a way of challenging myself. By the way, the book is Origami Odissey, by Peter Engel.
This stingray wasn't the most difficult choice, but it was difficult enough for me.
I have to say, it isn't perfect, but I'm really proud!

I've not yet folded an Engel model myself, but I look forward to doing so! This may not be the most challenging model but I'm glad you've pushed yourself, and the result is lovely. The paper choice works well and I like the subtle shaping to imply movement and life

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the paper choice, that was also new to me. I am used to using the typical colored A4, but I wanted to try something different. And I also look forward to seeing an Engel model made by you! Sure you will have a great time...

Oh but the chance to use all sorts of different paper is one of the exciting things about origami

I'm sure I will, might be a while before I get around to it though! :/
