this is a close up of the other bird. This one is a pygmy-kingfisher which is smaller than a malachite kingfisher (but not by very much)
I especially love how this one came out!
Once again: painted with acrylics on a slate tile.

I think this came out really nice. The colors are beautiful and the overall shape is effective. the details in the feathers is very nice as well. The only thing i would suggest is to make around the head the same kind of feathery look like you did with the body. That part just looks a little to flat, but overall this is a great painting. Good job ^-^
