It really did break my heart when Kenny, Clementine, and AJ found Wellington, but when there wasn't enough room for all of them Kenny had to beg the lady to take Clem and AJ. You can tell by just how Kenny automatically reacted and begged for the children to be let into safety that he truly did care and just wanted the best for Clem and AJ, even if that meant he had to leave them or even if that meant he was hurting others in previous episodes for the sake of his feelings or protection of the group.
And when you have the choice to either stay in Wellignton or leave with Kenny, now my feels broke into a water dam! Tears streaming down my face like crazy! It hurts to see how someone who seemed to not have cared before and just gone rabid would shed tears for you, scream for you, and maybe even suffer for you just for you to be safe in the end. If you chose to stay in Wellington, I support you. If you chose to leave with Kenny, I support you.
Either choice was heart breaking!
It seems that Kenny was actually fulfilling Lee's wish of protecting you or bringing you to safety. Lee wanted you safe, and Kenny respected that (although depending on the bond between you two in season 1), so it seems that Kenny decided to fulfill what Lee had died to try and complete.
You may be asking what I'm trying to say because of all this, well I'm trying to say that Kenny actually did seem like he was still good. He may have attacked and snapped over some ridiculous things or for no reason, but in that dream Clementine was having, do you remember what Lee said? "Part of growing up is doing what's best for the people you care about, even if sometimes that means hurting someone else."
Did anyone automatically thought about Kenny when Lee said that? I mean, Kenny was hurting others for either the sake of his own feelings or for the sake of his group, and in the end, he had hurted all those people because he cared; yet his anger deceived and blinded him from showing how much he cared.
Anyways, I hope this all makes sense.

Wow.. Can that really happen? Shit, now I just feel lousy... Β
Truth is, I was actually forced to shoot Kenny in the end. Believe me, I didn't want to - easily the hardest decision I've ever had to make in the whole series - but he was about to kill Jane in a fit of rage &, for better or worse, I just couldn't stand by & watch it happen..
What made it even more heartbreaking is how cool he was about the whole thing.. Hell, before he died he practically thanked Clementine for stopping him! I don't think I've ever felt so bad over a choice made within a video game....
Yup, Kenny may of had his flaws but, in his own rough & reckless way, I reckon he was every bit as much of a hero as Lee.
R.I.P Kenny old friend. You will be missed! Β
