This wasn't deliberate on Twilight's part.
This all happened within a few seconds, and Twilight was still disoriented while Spike went up to the door on his own.
I find it really hard to believe that Twilight would knowingly and deliberately put Spike in danger.

Eh - I don't think it was malicious but I do think it was deliberate. She dodges around the door and then observes what happens to Spike - that doesn't imply that she's disoriented. Twilight is very goal oriented and she needed to solve the problem and she picked the most expedient way to achieve that goal. I think if it had been something that involved the risk of serious injury or death she wouldn't have done it - but since this was just something that sucked really bad she didn't hesitate to let Spike take one for the team.

Calling him a test subject is disrespectful.

Am I the only one who thought that this was really harsh on Twi's part? Make Spike live his worst nightmare just because she thought he probably would?

I didn't see that. It was more like he wanted to see what made her do that, was accidentally sucked into King Sombra's spell, and Twilight was amazed that this happened to him, but not so much that she forgot to pull him away from the spell's influence.

Good point, I suppose. I guess it depends on how you were watching it. I think your idea is probably what thy were aiming at.
