Thanks. It's a truth that took me a disgustingly long time to realize. It's very important to interact with other artists on the site, give each other encouragement and critique. As much of an ego boost it is to see x-number of people say "good stuff dude" it doesn't really help you improve. I'm training myself to keep an open eye to other peoples art and see how I might be able to improve myself and encourage others to improve themselves.

Not bad for 4 years of thinking why more people don't visit my site eh?

Oh, wow! I came to the exact same conclusion, though I really don't interact enough w/ the other artists here...! As it happens, I'm always extremely encouraged when I get reviews, or even a hello! What I love to do is lurk around and favorite various artists work, so I can remember to go back and sift through their gallery. It's not very community-active, but I HAVE been working on talking more (like now) with other DA users. I've just been procrastinating... Ha..ha...

It's alright .. happens to us all really. I have very little time to sketch these days and every couple of weeks when I scan them in to upload, I realize that there are only 2 or 3 worth posting .

been there .. not much you can do but ride it out.
sometime I'll just sit in a mall with a cup of coffee and force myself to draw [usually the other mall walkers] that sometimes helps .. otherwise, magazines, tv .. it can tough finding your muse.

Hey no prob .. I always try to watch those who watch me.
Anyway, keep practicing and you'll be able to sell soon. I didn't think I was ready when I did it but it was both a big ego boost [because I actually did sell some work] and a humbling experience [there are many talent people out there] but you need to be able to interact with them and get ideas on how to improve .. the kind of thing that DA is meant for [although it's a lot of fun to be able to meet people face to face too]

looks like they're sold out this year .. but there's usually forums on the the Ai-Kon website, start hanging out there around Christmas time, get to know everyone and you'll know a good few weeks in advance when and how to get a table.

hm .. I guess it would be rather difficult without a scanner .. maybe someone can help you out, or help pay for some colour photocopies?
