thank you. I like your stuff to. I really love the cartoonish feeling some videogames have. I hope I can be able to work on a cartoon game soon

Thanks a lot, I love games that have a more cartoon-like feel to them and I would love to work on more projects like that, but I need to hone my normal mapping skills as well as brush up on my realism.
Have you done any character work?

no. I am a junior environment artist at the studio I am working in.
I get out the most of working like that. Characters make up a smal part of the game and its extremly hard to get in the industry as a character artist. But characters have a good flow in them and if you can creat good characters then you can creat good environment. trees is a great exampel of this. making a living and cool tree is like making a character.

Very cool! What studio do you work for? Did you go to school prior to your current job?

thats the uni I whent to. Then 4 months after that. I moved to England to work for [link]
The school I whent to offers a 6 months internship on different game companys. That was one of the biggest things that got me in to the industry. Its one thing to lurn about it in uni. but its a hole new world in the industry when you have you internship

I hear ya...application is definitely the greatest teacher of all. No book, teacher or school can teach you the craft like trial and error! Being in a studio probably taught you a lot. Sounds like you had a generally good opportunity there with your schooling and all.

Ye i cant complain. I was working my ass of... they take in 25 persons a year in the school. So every one expect the best from you. When I whent to uni they hade all our grades on our subjects on a wall so everyone in the school can have a look where he/she is and friends. So If you where bad. everyone would know it, and you would have a hard time finding people to work whit.
When i was looking for work I sent my emails to around 50 companies around the world, whit the things i have on DA. And 3 sayd they would like to take me on. You really do not need any nice uni school as a background, if you are kick ass at what you do. you will get in. And from what I have seen from your work. your on the right track
