# About me

Hello all you deviants out there! My name is Syntra, I am 42 years old and I live in beautiful Vancouver BC Canada.

I love to chat and get to know new and interesting people with similar interests or even different ones to broaden my horizons! I absolutely LOVE tattoos, piercings, and any other form of body art and have quite a few tattoos and piercings myself.

I collect Medieval weapons and Dragons and love fairies, wizards and anything else in the realm of fantasy. I am very interested in Tarot, palmistry, and numerology and I'm in the process of trying to learn all three. I have always been drawn to the dark side whether it be reading books on ghosts, paranormal phenomena or the occult. When all the other little girls were pretending to be princess's I wanted to be a Vampire!! Basically I love anything dark and mysterious...just like me!

Cooking and baking are two of my many passions. I have been in the kitchen learning since I was about 5 years old and love to cook all different nationalities of food. I love to try new things and then come home and reproduce them in my own kitchen to share with my family and friends. In my opinion there is nothing better than sharing good times and great food and drink with the people you care about.
The culinary arts have always been my main way of sharing my creativity since a very young age but I also did a lot of drawing and such in my teenage years as well. After high school I was so busy being a full time Mom that I kind of put my artistic ventures on the back burner and put all my effort into being a parent. Many many years went by and the only way I was continuing to be creative and artistic was through my cooking and baking.

About 3 years ago a very good friend invited me to a Mad Hatter tea party and the stipulation for attending was that we had to make ourselves a hat or decorate an already made hat. I hated hats at the time because I could never find one that I felt suited me. I looked everywhere for something that I liked but couldn't find anything I was even remotely happy with so I decided to make my own and see what I could come up with. To make a long story short....I enjoyed making my hat so much and got so many compliments on it that I decided that I would make more for my friends and family who liked and wanted one for themselves. I didn't realize how much I had missed being creative!! My best friend came to me later and asked if she could join me in the fun because she wanted to have a creative outlet too and of course I said YES! We have been making and selling our mini hats, fascinators and hair accessories ever since and have so much fun doing it!

Now we are Mad Hatters and loving every minute of it! :)

Thank you very much! They definitely take quite a few hours from start to finish. Some take me days depending on the amount of detail on them. I have fun making them and people seem to enjoy them so it is all worth it in the end. :) (Smile)
