I do have some more on the way, yes! I have a personal project that's just in the scripting stages, and I'm working as a pre-production artist on a short feature film that's slated for release later this year.

Well, I've just started work on animated special effects for a music video for a guy who's been signed by MTV, and I'm in talks to work on a second music video with a guy whose songs are gaining a lot of popularity on BBC Radio, as well as a couple of art/exhibition animated projects, so there's a lot going on at the moment!

Business cards are the way to go! If the area you're in is too small to network, then you should try forging more contacts with people online.

But in all of my days of trying to contact people for information or help, just asking small things, trying to make conversation. Is rather difficult because there are so many people that are skeptical and dont trust a lot of people on the internet. :/ But I try

Email addresses or facebook(ya i know its not the best one). For example I've been asking around how to make a silicone Mermaid tail and I know of a few people who have made their tails rather then buy them. Some have actual websites and some are just on facebook. I write a simple letter, not meaning harm, but never once have I ever gotten a reply.

You would think that they would be professional and courteous enough to reply.

Oooh, yeah, I wouldn't recommend that; either they might not like being contacted directly or, more likely, your message ends up flagged as spam and never seen. I'd try just chatting to people on forums or on sites like this one; expand your network first and then exchange personal details.

Ok, Ya I guess that makes since. I never really try to purposefully contact people with a purpose so I thought that would be ok.
I'll do my best to remember that. I forget sometime how long it takes to build a network whether it be of contacts or business.

*thumbs up* Perserverance is the key - I've been working on building contacts and networking trying to get freelance jobs in for almost a year now and it's only within the last couple of weeks that I've actually been getting people contacting me. You've just got to keep at it!
