Hi there!I’m Brittany Gonzalez. My penname is Anthezar and my nickname is Anthy. I’m twenty-five years old and I hope to fill my days with writing and art. ^-^
I love writing, absolutely love it. It’s like breathing to me. It’s just one of those things I’ve been doing ever since I can remember. From dolls to college rule notebooks to computers, I’ve always been creating stories as the evolution of my writing has grown. I have countless notebooks upon notebooks in my room from my younger days filled with stories.
Even now, I carry around a notebook in case I need to write a scene down. Especially since when I’m not writing, my mind is always filled with a story scene. I never get bored – ever. Just doesn’t happen. Hehe!
I used to always write fanfiction. My first story was a Pokémon one and I also had a Legend of Zelda one. I have old spatterings of Sonic and Teen Titans. Of course, my original Teen Titans idea was an apprentice fic, too, but it was nowhere near what I have going on now. ;)
My newly released short story, The Prince and the Time Keeper was written over the course of three days or so. When I get the writing flow, it pours. Literally.
I’m also a self taught digital artist. I started drawing when I was 17 and haven’t stopped since. Drawing doesn’t come naturally to me, yet I love to draw and I feel I have still have a lot to learn. I’ve reached my level of art through a lot of practice and hard work. I have two styles, a realistic and a cartoon style. My tools include Photoshop CS3 and a Wacom Intuos3 tablet.
I also love anything Japanese – except Sushi. I have a lot of Manga books on my shelf and a good percentage of that are some that I've imported from Japan – so, they're in Japanese. :) Whenever I write or draw, I always has some music playing in the background and typically songs in Japanese. Funny enough, I know more Japanese artists than I know American artists.
The name ‘Anthezar’ was thought up when I was 16 years old. Over time it quickly developed as a name for myself. I’m often affectionately called ‘Anthy’ for short by my close friends in real life.
My goals are to continue to grow as an artist and do the cover art for my books. I also hope to continue to grow as a writer and publish many more short stories, novellas, and novels.
