# About me
Hihi out there, Alicia-x-Itachi here!I'm a cartoon, game, and SF/F lit junkie, hobbyist artist, and wannabe writer. I draw for fun and write a lot of fanfic, and I do hope to be a published author eventually.
My primary fandoms include PokΓ©mon (Black/White are the best, though the anime is So Bad It's Good), Runescape, and The Elder Scrolls (can't decide whether I love Oblivion or Skyrim more), although there are a lot of other games I love! As far as books go--and I'm an avid reader--I quite like The Lord of the Rings, The Chronicles of Narnia, the Tortall cycle by Tamora Pierce, and the works of Sharon Shinn and Shannon Hale, among many others, mostly SF/F books.
Other little details:
I love Disney animated movies very much. Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin are the best ones. I don't watch much TV, and I prefer cartoons to live action (as well as 2D cartoons to CGI animation). I have a huge weakness for chocolate anything. I take a long time to get anything done, though I wish I didn't. I'm a sucker for cute things. I like making things for other people--I like to see them happy! I'm fluent in sarcasm, and I like to wisecrack and joke a lot of the time. I love the sci-fi/fantasy genres because I am fascinated by things that are impossible in real life. I am a total mage enthusiast--I love all kinds of magic and magic users. I have an odd fondness for the clichΓ© of fantasy protagonists always being teenagers. Can't save the world if you're a day over twenty :P I have a strong preference for female protagonists, and I'm really sick of the Smurfette principle. I would also love to see more darker-skinned main characters, especially in SF/F. It's boring if everyone is as paste-white as I am! Buuuuut I really hate token characters, demanding diversity quotas in fiction, and lazy pandering! Representation for the sake of representation is bad writing--the trick is just to treat every character as a character first and foremost! I really, really like to ship interracial pairs. I am not just talking about human skin colors, either--I mean humans and nonhumans. Or any sentient humanoid races, really. I'd like to see more focus on family and friendship, not just romance. Those kinds of love are important too. Love triangles suck! Especially since most of the time it's really friggin' obvious who is the clear victor and who is the third wheel. Everybody needing to have a love interest or a One Twu Wuv is equally annoying. I think yuri is better than yaoi. I often crush on fictional characters. Despite my username, Itachi Uchiha is no longer one of those. In fact I'm actually kind of sick of him... I'm very introverted and socially awkward, so it's very hard for me to reach out to people. I'm also overly nervous about pissing people off. I'm my own worst critic, sometimes too much so. I'm very very happy to receive good feedback and criticism. What'd I do right? What'd I do wrong? What could I do better? I really wanna know! Even a big long speech about how much I suck and why is better than a one-word comment ^^; If you're happy to talk to me, I'm happy to talk to you! I do not openly discuss my personal life or problems for numerous reasons. I'm Roman Catholic, and I feel very strongly about my beliefs. However, I do not wish my faith or my political alignment to get in the way of a friendship with those who might believe otherwise. I am rather cynophobic--I pretty much despise dogs. Bats are the most adorable animal ever. Sensory overloads of any kind--usually obnoxious loud noises combined with crowds--make me get really upset. That's perhaps the biggest reason I hate parties unless there's decent food. I really hate crowds, or being randomly touched. Sometimes I say really dumb things, and sometimes I'm slow to pick up on things.Please, do not thank me for the fave on my page. I faved your piece because I liked the art and wanted to see it again. If my faving your picture means a lot to you, then consider that it would mean a lot to me if you faved or gave me feedback on my art. I also do not give a shit about llama badges.
The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense.
