I haven't been on much, have I? I intend to become more active, though I am unlikely to submit anything any time soon (I haven't had much inspiration for a while now...)

Probably not. Based on what I saw in my dad's hand, it costs $20 per person. While it might not seem like a lot, that makes it $80 - $100 per family trip. If we were to go regularly, say, once a month, that means we will spend about $960 - $1,200 a year, excluding gas (I'd guess that gas would be an additional $60 per year, bringing the mean estimate to about $1,140). Seeing as we can go to the beach for free (including gas, I'd guess about $42 per year, $127 including snacks), I don't imagine that I will get much of a chance to improve my skills...
