Well... first of all you must be aware ID is not (only) car sketching...
You should show some interest in real life problems like ergonomic mistakes in objects...

Id is all the process from sketch to final production. U must value all the steps!

U will read lots of theoric stuff (Corbusier, Bahaus, Art Deco, Minimalism, etc...), u will have to pay attention to society needs, u will read "green products" articles, recycling, production methods, CO emittion, Material Science, kinds of materials, cheap ways of production, progress, social status, Color theory, color psychology, how color affects your mood and vision of the World...

IT'S A LONG WAY my friend! If u like it, you will live 4 it!

Ah I knew you would have something good to say! And yeah I know ID is not only car design. I just only show my car designs here on Deviantart . And thanks for the link, i dunno why I didn't think of reading the wiki version.
