*Birthdays are special occasions and they call for special celebrations. Let us celebrate you birthday today!
Another year older, another year wiser. Well at least we are growing up to be what you meant to be. Here's to another year of experience. Blowing out another candle should mean that you have lived another year with joy and you had made this world a better place. Make every day of your life and every candle count. Have a Bday!
I hope all your birthday dreams and wishes come true.

Okay, well first off, I probably won't commission you at this very instant, unless your price is dirt cheap. I do this weird thing where I have a waiting list for people who I want to commission, and when I get the money, I commission them.
So, I have a self-coined phrase that I frequently give to my friends which is a bit bizarre.
"I have a pet unicorn- but no one believes me."
I would additionally want to buy a copy of a large master image, and the right to print it for personal usage. This way, I'm essentially buying a print from you, but you get a much higher percent of what I pay, and I'm not giving DeviantART a bunch of money that only serves a few rich people.
So how much would that be? I would pay you via PayPal.

Well I've never sold anything without the help of DeviantArt's interesting little print shop so I really wouldn't know what regular prices are at. Did you have a figure in mind?? Because I'd be happy to hear it.

Hmm. This is going to be long.
Well, I suppose that an art critic like myself, who has a large modern art collection, would be able to tell you how much to charge.
Essentially, this is a commission, which is the most common financial transaction on DeviantART. I'm commissioning you to upload a new piece of art with my preferences, and the only eccentric thing about this specific transaction is that I want to be e-mailed a master image afterwards that is large enough for me to make a personal copy; so for all intents and purposes lets treat this like a simple commission.
As far as my memory goes, the only college student who I have commissioned in the past was my last roommate who was an art major. For that, which involved real expendable supplies on a real 11x14 inch canvas, it came to $40. Removing the cost of supplies for him to use, he made a profit of about $20-25, considering that I supplied him the canvas.
If he had been working digitally, I would have expected to pay something closer to $20-25, as he would not be using any expendable supplies, yet still for all intents and purposes take the same amount of time and effort.
For you, and the quality of your work, I would expect $15-20. The most that I would personally be willing to pay you (without going over my budget and retracting my offer) would be $30, and the least that I would be willing to pay you (without feeling uncomfortable and retracting my offer) would be $5. So, to do business with me, you would have to choose something between $5 and $30. Obviously, as the commissioner I would want to pay the least possible, and you as the artist would want to earn the most possible.
There are a few other things to consider as well. If you were to personally go through the trouble of getting it printed for me and shipping it to me, I would pay you the preceding amount plus the cost of printing and shipping. Also, not all customers are alike. A friend of mine who I have mentored for a while once got away with doing a $100 commission on a digital piece. Other people, who are fourteen years old and need their mothers to approve payments, typically pay in points or pocket change. For you, you should stick to PayPal.
Therefore, if you want to earn the highest amount of money for commissions possible, you should have a focal point on your DeviantART page saying "note me for commissions", and whenever you get one of these notes you should negotiate between the commissioner.
Just remember that I probably won't commission you until around a month from now.

Let me just tell you right now, you are extremely talented. I played around with typography once and it was not easy. Your art is amazing! Some simple, some detailed; all beautiful. As a 15 year old my input may not be huge, but I think what you do is fantastic. If you have any tips on anything at all I would be incredibly grateful. Take care. (:
