The mouth was deliberate, I was going for a more robotic look. It would have probably read better if I used a different colour, but hey it is you character so alter it how you will

Yeah, I'm going with the space one, I also gave the characters a white outline as seen here: ask-the-special-cossack-number⦠I wish that your signature wasn't covered up by the icon in the bottom-center of the banner. I may have to redo the banner to have more of the spacey background in the height so that when it "stretches to fit" the characters will be "smaller". In the event that the covering up of your signature in the image isn't an issue, I'd still like to make the character's smaller as I don't really like them getting cut off by the image limitations. Tumblr is a pain in that it doesn't give me any sort of idea what the dimensions of the images used in the blogskin need to be.
I wonder what background I should use for the main part of the blog...hm...ideas? The rainbow burst and the spacey background were both made by me from scratch...well, the spacey background was really multiple edits of an old inferior night sky background I made from scratch long ago. The rainbow burst is a more recent background I made, which I'd used at first before trying to see if the space background looked better.
I also have an old mirror-texture background I could have used that is of my own creation, maybe I'll use that for the background of the main part of the blog, since it's just white with some pastel cool colors gradients applied. Heh. I could easily make a bigger variant for use in the blog, Photoshop's great at resizing things.
I'm pretty good at making abstract backgrounds. I wish I knew how to make nature landscape backgrounds, though.
But I do know how to "toonify" landscape photos with some Photoshop filters, I've done it before. The thing with the toonify effect, it needs to be something that doesn't have too many colors/shades. And by that I mean it can't be something that looks like super-shiny metal, that never works to toonify, since it's hard to control exactly how many shades are preserved. See, I use the Posterize Adjustment Layer (which is useful in reducing colors in animations, especially the colors that are too similar) in combination with the Gradient Map Adjustment Layer, then I duplicate the layers and merge together the duplicate, after which I do selective recoloring. Lastly, I use Gaussian Blur with a 1-pixel or less radius (I think it was either 1 pixel or .5 pixels, not sure). The Gaussian Blur helps to remove sharp edges that are caused by the Posterize filter. My biggest problem with using this process is that I live in a city, meaning I don't have access to nature landscapes to use for this...And I'd prefer to use my own photos for this.

backgrounds aren't really my thing I'm afraid, it's kind of a gap in my knowledge, that I really should work on. And don't worry about the signature I don't mind. But keep at it I'm sure you'll find something that works. The way I tend to learn is that when I have a specific task or effect I want I just google it and combine various tutorials.

I saw on another website's comic where they made a pun on "centaur"--"centaur" sounds similar to the word "center"/"centre". Maybe you can update the title with a pun using "centaur" as a stand-in for the word "center"/"centre"? I'm sure you can figure something out. ^^
