Life is crazy on this end. First I freak out because the phone bill was supposed to be due this week, but it turns out they've changed the due date on me. Then I just found out yesterday afternoon that my insurance had been canceled a couple months ago, without notification until now, and I'm behind because it wasn't pulling out of our accounts like it was supposed to, which I didn't notice because I have it on our secondary account, instead of our primary. So, I've got to come up with $250 by the start of next week, otherwise they're going to raise our car payments by more than we could possibly afford and we'd loose the car... *headdesk* Argh.

Sounds about where we are. It could be worse. I have a friend that is going through much much worse, so I can't really complain about being pretty much homeless. But aren't most artists? If I was good as half the people on this site I'd start doing commissions.

I've got a photography commission right now that I'm taking preemptive snapshots for. You'd be surprised at what you can do with that. Plus there's someone I met at work one day that is might call me about taking photos for their wedding.

And yeah, we went through that homeless thing about a year ago. Our landlord at the time had kicked us out of the house, and we hadn't closed on this house yet for purchase, so we had to stay with family and friends until we couldn't stand it anymore and just stayed a couple nights in a hotel before we finally got in this house.

Nice. Luck with the wedding We didn't get kicked out of our old place, but couldn't afford it ($715 a month!). They're willing to have us work off what we owe (my ex housemate royally screwed me and my fiance) and thank God (all of them) they still like us and are willing to let us rent from them in the future... unfortunately we can't afford them LOL!

The people we're staying with now are my fiance's brother and his family who are not used to having other people stay with them, so we try to stay out of their way as much as possible. Unfortunately they displace all of their frustrations onto us and look for an excuse to yell at us about something. Apparently we claim we are victims... when we hardly ever speak to them -_- they're getting me confused with Eric's ex, who was a malcontent psycho that always complained about how much of a victim she was to ANYONE, even strangers. I don't do that. I know there are plenty of people who've got it worse than us, so why complain? But they want us out and the car is looking more and more likely.

It's insanely difficult to get jobs around here. Eric has a job and we're still struggling. It'll get better though. This is one ginormous lesson. This is what happens when you follow Loki >_<

Yeah, that's why we had to leave our old house too. We had a housemate, who screwed us out of $2000. We still haven't recovered from that, and it's been over a year now. The rent had been $585, and our landlord was an ass. So when we fell behind because we didn't have as much income whenever we had to kick the housemate out, he got pissed off and evicted us (even though we did as we promised and paid all of what we honestly owed--though he tried to charge us more than that, but our lawyer from closing threatened to take him to court for not keeping up the house as per our rental agreement, and that was the end of it). He harassed me, coming while my husband was at work, demanding payment, the keys, and that we get out. This went on almost every day for two weeks before he finally submitted a formal eviction, and he kept harassing me, so I called the police on him. They made him stop, reminding him we had 30 days from the day he filed the eviction with the sheriff's office before we had to be out.

Jobs are difficult to get anywhere. And just imagine, we're starting to plan now for when we move out of state several years from now. Hubby's probably going to try to transfer his job over to the New Orleans office, then possibly look for a different job after that. But still, it's going to be quite a while before we move. He wants to stay here so long as his mom is alive, unless we ever get the money to bring her and her other two sons (both still relatively young) with us.
