# About me

Ok, gonna write a quick little blurb before I run out, which will hopefully be edited later.

I am a graduate student getting my Ph.D in biophysics and physiology (yep, that's right, huge nerd). This basically means I spend all day in my lab (where I am now as I write this), working with the ever fabulous saccharomyces cerevisiae. It's a thrilling life with loads of excitement and adventure, you never know what those little one celled organisms are gonna do next (seriously, sometimes I tear my hair out trying to figure out what the heck they are doing). I've got a cat named Mochi, who is super cute and a really huge brat (kinda like me, minus the cute part). I used to swim and play waterpolo, and therefore I used to be tan and in shape (not so much anymore). I surf very occasionally, much less than I would like to. I draw and paint and write when I can (or when I'm slacking off in lab). Anyways, there's my blurb.
