I know Joan of Arc/Jeane D'Arc is a sensitive topic for you but I hope you can bear with me.

Many fanfics depict France as having a bit of a grudge or bitter feelings for you whenever Jeanne is mentioned. Many fanfics also depict you, AT THE TIME (important to note), very, almost manically, happy as she burns at the stake.

However, I don't think so. You are a gentleman, even on the battle field with honor, no matter what your people's will is. Their will may influence you, but your feelings are your own.

In my head, I'd see, if you had to battle her again, yes, you'd still kill her in the name of your country. But I don't think you would be happy with her burning on the stake. I'd see it that you preferred she died as the warrior she truly was, on the battle field. As the master off all folklore and fantastical creatures, I know you know that she wasn't truly a witch. In my head, your only regret is that she didn't die the truly glorious death she deserved.

But I'd like to hear it directly from you. What are your thoughts?
