David, some of these paintings are absolutely brilliant!! I can see why you've done some corporate paintings. I'm surprised at how few people have visited this page and slightly disappointed. Have a good Easter weekend -rich

My "Dreams of Elysium" is now available as a puzzle. I thought that if you submitted for print then a puzzle was already available, but I've just found out that you have to go through another process!

I can't believe that they don't. Do you have a website? I sell quite a few painting through mine and quite a few prints on here and I've only been painting for two years. I have two Papillons, Molly, 7 and Max, 5 and you are welcome to use any of my photos as a reference. My husband loves your aircraft pictures and would love me to paint such a subject. Do you use reference photos?
I think my paintings have such crazy colours because I have had no formal training and so no one has told me not to use them and I find my very traditional paintings of Derbyshire never seem to be as popular on here! I'm off to look at your wonderful gallery now!

No I don't have a web site , but facebook has been brilliant, and I ve picked up commissions from al around the world though it.It was even plasnned its just happened. I used to be an Aircraft Tech at Filton up untill a couple of years back and took early retirement , to spend more time with the Paps my classic cars and painting. You are abosoluty brilliant , I love your work,My paintbrush just won't dip into bright colours, how i wish they could. I took photos of todays pap painting and tried to correct in photoshop, and pressed some of the wrong buttons, one of them came out in bright wild colour schemes , with rainbow colours --- I don't think the pap world isready for that yet

Have you got a Facebook fan page that I can "Like"? A lot of my sales and commissions seemed to be linked to dA in some way with probably 75% going to the USA. I've found having a Website really good for sales and as a showcase. My daughter is a software engineer and web designer, and made mine for me. She designs them from scratch, rather than using templates and it has been great getting her to tweak it to my exact requirements. If ever you decide to have one, you will have to contact her!
My husband works at Rolls Royce Aero in Derby and has always loved aeroplanes.
Sometimes I just think it is the colour people like in my images, rather than the painting as I have done some in about half an hour by splattering with a toothbrush and painting in a few trees and they'll get thousands of favs and then one that I spend weeks on and I think is some of my best work, will get no attention at all!

Anne marie , join the club,I'm at a loss with it all, I did some - what I call T-Break abstracts , some were literaly done while the pot was boiling, Everyone sold - and they were rubbish,The black and white Pap on a black background, I did as a challenge to myself, to see if it could be done, the actual brush work on that was the best I've ever done, but I may aswell have slapped it on. I hoping in a hundred years they turn up on antiques roadshow , and begin to get just a little bit of professional merit.By the way for someone who has only painted for a short while, you are truly gifted , with a good eye.
Now don't for get - I went to a art meeting on portraits , when painting the eye just put a dash of paint in and you will be brilliant. Dont paint the eye or how the eyelid casts a shadow over the eyeball or the catchlite with a hint if colour in it,otherwise you will end up like me.
You have to smile
David

Well, I aspire to be an artist with your eye for detail! Have you had any formal training? Someone told me I would never be a good artist without it but in some ways it gives me the freedom to paint how I want!

No I had my place in the Bristol Art Acadamy, but I didn't bother turning up, at the time (early 70s) everyone seemed to go to Art Schools and all they did was protest and go on marches. So I got a trade as apprentice Mech, thinking I've always got a trade to fall back on , also I thought they could teach out of you what you wanted to do.I,ve no regrets as I'm not really an ambitious person, and I hate working to others time scales
