Avocadoart, I need your help, seeing that you're the most incredible artist with avocado pits, some of my friends and family are saying that these pits are carved while their still humid, is that true?

Thank you! I mainly use it to cut and polish the malachite and to polish the seed with beeswax.

Hey man I'm just a regular dude in America but as a kid I always had a respect for the avacado seed, anyway I know it sounds stupid but love your art and would love get a commissioned piece from you.

Wow your art work is amazing. I really liked the way you make the detail, so precisely and polished. I am from Mexico and we called here the avocado "aguacate" which means aguacatl or testicles from the nahuatl(a native language of the ancient aztecs). I do avocado carving but I often use dremmel and tiny knives. Hope to see one day one of your art pieces in live.
cheers

Hey Dude, I fav'ed several of your carvings, but Honestly didn't feel like making individual comments, so I will make a blanket statement here instead. You have some really cool carvings, and I love your overall sense of design and balance. 2 thumbs up.

No Prob, I've been looking at your stuff off and on for a while, though I have been off and on with DA as well. Out of curiosity, how long do you have to let the avocado pit dry before you carve it?
I carve bone and antler, and since my wife LOVES avocados I have been thinking that I could carve some of the pits instead of letting them go to waste...

hey, for years im looking now on the net for avocado carvings and this is the first site i found today that i can say...wow! Some of your work i really really like and wish i would have done it... I am doing avocado stone sculpture since 7 years. Im very lazy at it. I have done maybe 5 a year. Maybe I should put up some pics of my work too... i feel a bit shy showing my stuff.
Did you ever use a laser tools? I only use a knife but sometimes i wish i would have something to work even finer. my favorite is the warrior of love. Beautiful!

Thanks a lot man! I also carve the pits since 2004. I use tools for cutting intarsia. I have a power tool, but I mainly use it for the first rough sanding or to form the malachite.
Don't be shy, that's what this site is for. Best regard
