Thanks very much for the kind comment, much appreciated. Sorry my reply is late!! I don't have much time for updating deviantArt as I have a family and generally just SO busy. Glad you like what I do and I'm really grateful for the support. Thanks again.

Hey Rob!
I just found your art and i really love the amount of figure studies you do.
I was wondering though if you mind if i download some of these and collate them into a large sheet.Β
My group has a convention coming up where we do commissions on the floor for people, and i've been wanting to piece together a reference board with different poses, hands and anatomical perspectives for our artists to have on hand if they're unsure about the proper proportions, or how to draw a particular pose.
We're a small art community of friends that just love art, but not all of us are at the same level, which is why i wanted to have a reference board, for those who aren't as adept as others.
The bits i was hoping to use were :
Sketchbook arms and Hands
Sketchbook Studies: Hands
All-arm Clock
Sketchbook figure studies 1
I'd love to have your permission to use them
Thanks!
Aaron

Hi Rob. Your work is and has remained an inspiration over the years. I read somewhere that you were considering making a book on muscle anatomy. Is it finished and if so where can I buy it? Also are you opposed to making critiques on other aspiring artist works?

Hello buddy, thanks for the kind comments, glad you like what you see. I would very much love to do a book on muscle and comic book anatomy, it's just finding the time. I work a typical 9:00 - 5.30 and all my illustration stuff is done in my spare time. I also have a family so spare time is even sparer! BUT, it is definitely a project I'm working on and when it's done you shall definitely know about it!Β
In the meantime, I'd definitely recommend 'copying' some of your favourite comic artists as practice. When I say copying I don't mean exactly like for like. What I like to do is try and break down the figure and see/learn how they've done it. I find it really helps with things like foreshortening.
I'm happy to critique work mate, no problem. I checked out your gallery and your memorised figure sketch is really good. Especially for a pose that's so tricky!
Thanks again for the kind comment, cheers!
