And yeah, right now I'm kinda dying cuz it's nearing the end of the first semester so I've got two research papers to write in addition to studying for final exams . Our guard instructor was chewing us out cuz some of us couldn't even throw a single and a half. I was off to the side throwing doubles on a flag or something and he was like, "BE LIKE HER! YOU! DO THE THING!" And I just froze.

We tried to incorporate sautés in our performance, and I ended up tripping on a band member and falling face flat on the turf.

see we had a single and a half 45 from bottom cheater and bottom tip connected into a double and a half. girls in my guard were throwing triple and a halves and triple 45's and all of us could do tricks. I did too many backhands, hence my wrists. but doubles are so much fun?? how can people only do a single and how do they underrotate single and a halves. I don't understand. and yES DO THE THING. THE THING IS GREAT.

okay so we had three major tosses in a row and I was two steps away from the tenor drums. they weren't happy about their placements so I just stood like half a foot away from them and did turn arounds under doubles in an attitude and caught with my leg over the flag and up against their side in an attempt to kick them. it was successful. I laughed because they were scared and they didn't doubt my 45 abilities any longer.

One of our guard instructors was teaching the band to do this visual, right? So it looked pretty fun and I joined in. The drum line just looked at me and shook their heads.

Afterwards I threw a jay toss and fought it behind my back just to freak them out, it was great.

actually they looked up to us because we did fancier tricks than them? than them all, we legit did way more than they do and they were like showing off their splits and everything and they legit, in the movement where the guard featured their splits, if you couldn't do it, you were behind a prop, and they all just stared at us and I felt proud? like

I wish it was like that with us, everyone in our dance crew and cheer squad HATE us. They see us as untalented, the rejects of the teams. They stand on a higher pedestal then we do, in their eyes.

Actually? they're just snobby and I hate them but like we threw, literally threw, some fancy tricks. Every sabre had a blade five, every rifle had a six and a 45, every flag had a double and a half, and every flag had a single and a half one-handed 45 and a single turn around under a double. like honestly it got to the point where it was so windy and our tricks were so hard to control they were  just like it's too risky, it could knock you or a band member out so we couldn't toss for a few practices

Yeah man, our rifles had this ripple that went down the field. The first few threw singles, the next few doubles, then triples, and finally quads. It looked pretty cool. When the flags went in and added some really cool stuff and it looked awesome. Some of the cheerleaders gave us some respect, but not a lot

Whenever it's too windy at our band practices we're forced to air flag and jesus christ we look like dinosaurs XD

Nice! The entire band, including the front and battery, had a few measures of rest and the rifles all tossed a six. I forget what the flags were doing tbh, but it was always cool to listen to them all catch before the music started again.

DUDE THE BATTERY ALWAYS LOOKED AT US LIKE WE WERE INSANE AND STARTED MIMICKING US W THEIR STICKS.
