I agree with absolutely everything you say except French's Yellow.Β French's Yellow and Zeigler's Apple Cider in half gallons were the only two things I panic hoarded.Β You can make almost anything taste like a hotdog with enough of the Yellow.Β Gulden's and various snotty french brands are perfect for selective applications I will concede.

Probably sacrilege for you but I split my time between both NY teams, each for what they offer.Β Yankees try so hard, and fail so abysmally, at providing the delightful, relaxing, afternoon-at-the-ballpark pleasure that a Mets game provides so effortlessly.Β But, for sport-as-TV-soap-opera, or sport-as-live-theater intensity, Yankees, (especially v Sox) is hard to rival.

Yeah, as a baseball fan, not just a Mets fan, a game at Citi Field is a much better experience. Going to Yankee Stadium is like going to a big, loud mall or gaudy theme park. Of course the best baseball experience that I've had has been Wrigley Field, hands down.
