That's an easy one. In art, life, novels, everywhere really.
For instance, Bright Eyes is a load of influences, everything from the title which came from Total Eclipse Of The Heart by Bonnie Tyler, the spark of the character was Razor (a 90's bad girl comic) its also a bit of Thelma & Louise as well as Clueless.
Mostly the character of Bright Eyes will be very influenced by a friend of mine, Maja...also a drop of Tank Girl in there as well.
But shh, don't tell. Its going to take years to tell this story!

yeah me to, but my job as a webmaster leave me little time and not nearly enough to put full effort into my pages *sigh* but coming from a guy who worked on comics for a living its a real confidence boost to say the least, do you have any tips or pointers to help make it better?

I understand time, don't let too much pass before posting your next page up. Try to keep a flow going as best you can.
Looking at your work, I really like the way you draw people. I think if you push beyond your current level of skill...try to be more dynamic in your shots, both with your figure work as well with backgrounds, use more 3 dimensional perspective...you'll be turning things up a notch!!!
(also an example - have a character in the foreground talking with another in the background. Over the shoulder shot)
And coloring is way important! Look at how others use color. Wake the Sleepers uses color magnificently, try changing up your approach on how your putting color down, go simpler ...start with a mid-tone, then add darks, then lights. Don't use as much textures, much like your lines.... just a dab of fur here and there will get the point across without putting a whole layer of hair on the main characters body....be subtle.
I dig your chapter intros, if you think more book cover design, a little art and nice lettering and color goes a long way!

i understood about a 3rd of what you said, i'm completely self taught when it comes to comics, and i use real people as models for my characters, since i'm not very good at drawing with paper and pen, though if you look at my other work you can see that i'm very good with 3D

Okay, that's why your people look so natural. I'd say try not to rely on it 100%. You'll become a better artist for it.
What I meant with 3D, take panel 3 here [link] its a matter of using perspective that isn't straight on. Or panel 1 here [link]
