I love Japanese puns. さくらんボ－ル If おる becomes 折る would that suggest somethin at all? one definition means "to break" but judging how the other meanings are 'to fold' and 'to pick flowers'.

I don't really know what it'd suggest. I saw "to break" as a possible definition for "折る", and thought of it as 'breaking a cherry'(though it wouldn't be grammatically correct in Japanese) which is close to an English expression which refers to a girl's first time. xD

Yeah, I was getting "oru" from "sakuranbooru" after taking sakuranbo to mean cherry. I wondered if that remaining "oru" would change the meaning in some way. Yeah, it would be random. I was just fishing pointlessly.

OOh, no, the "bowl" is a foreign word, so it would be written entirely in katakana, and if it weren't, it wouldn't be recognised as "bowl". (It would be read as sakuranbo-oru. which makes no sense in japanese) The thing with japanese is, you can't split up syllables, and "bowl" would be naturally kept as the syllables Boh- and -ru. :3
