# About me

Born in Rhodesia (Zimbabwe), but now residing in Leigh, England. I've also lived in Lisbon and Madrid.

My heritage is Portuguese, but I've lived in England the majority of my life. The best way to describe myself would be, Portuguese hardware with English software.

Notable achievement includes circumnavigating the world when I was 19!

Proudest moment: getting my degree and marrying my wife.

Username: Caravela is portuguese for caravel, which is a ship used in the golden age of discovery by the great portuguese navigators such as Ferdinand Magellan, Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco da Gama. It was the ship used during the first circumnavigation of the globe. The reason I chose it as my username, was that I wanted something to represent my heritage and to convey my very own journey of discovery in the world of photography!

No...I bought her as a pup for my girlfriend as a christmas present. And hand on heart she's the best present that I'll ever buy her. She brings so much joy and laughter into our lives, and she's become a proper little poser whenever the camera tags along!!! lol
