Lol, waterproof cameras are only good for one thing... Being waterproof! I was drawn to your page because I'm interested in getting an s1800 of my very own! What do you think of it?

i actually like it a lot
its light weight, and it takes pretty good pictures, even at full zoom. the features are really good as well.
if you're an beginner or amateur photographer, i would definitlay recommend it
another one you should look into is the nikon p100.
it's quite a bit more money, but instead of the 18x zoom on the s1800, its 26x or something like that.

The first thing I noticed about it was the zoom capabilities. 18x is pretty sweet for such a cheap model. The other camera I'm looking into is a Canon EOS Rebel XS. It's considerably more, especially in packages that supply accessories, but it has always received great reviews. If I end up with the cash, I'll probably go for that one, and if not, the prior choice. xD

the Rebel XS is a great camera, but you won't get anywhere near the same zoom without buying a very expensive lens. if you have the money for it, i'd get the rebel, over the s1800.

I'm normally more focused towards close-up shots... But then again, that's because my crappy camera can't zoom well. xD I found a Rebel package that includes a telephoto lens, along with a couple others and several other accessories for a great price. Either way, I'm not too picky so I'll be satisfied. ^.^

ohh, if you havee the money for that package, i would definitely get the rebel instead.
but the s1800 is a great camera as well.
