No problem. What have you been up to anything new you been working on? I have a few things going on right now. Been trying to seek out my limitations or better yet see how far I could push myself without making too big of a mess of things. I try to get on here as much as possible to submit new artwork but what I have going just can't be done within a day or two, it's definitely a work in progress..multiple works in progress. Anyways, good to hear from you.

Hey, I have been mostly working on crocheted things (star afghans, doll hats, toys, etc.)to sell so I can get good materials. Just started back to doing portraits yesterday so I can boost commissions hopefully and finish what I started last summer . I'm in the same boat none of the projects that I'm currently doing can be done within a day too and I definitely need to submit more art pieces. Though I'm pretty much staying within my limits right now until I can get my hands on some clay and the like and it's awesome to hear from you too.

I saw the lil crocheted bear hat, pretty sweet. I'll keep an eye out for those portraits, they're awesome. I have a few paintings I'm working on that I'm trying to get done by Friday. Saturday, I'm going to attempt to set up a booth at the Waldo flea market and see how my artwork sells, even if nobody stops by or doesn't buy anything the first weekend, I'm just going to keep at it for a few weekends, if I make any money, I'll try to get business cards made for anyone who wants to see more of my work or wants to have something custom made, plus I'll need more materials like canvas and paint. If all goes well I'll post a notice letting folks know if its a go. Hopefully, this will set me up for bigger things.

Thank you That's awesome! I'm sure people will start talking about your work with just seeing them at a glance. Waldo flea market is a really good place to advertise cause it gets a lot of traffic w/ a variety of people I don't think cards cost that much at staples, my mom has been hounding me to get cards done lol. I'm just trying to get out of an art block it seems I can only replicate what I see and not what I see in my head if that makes any sense Do you have any advice for an art block

Thanks I certainly hope so. I'll check Staples out, if I find a better deal I'll let you know. I might do that in the next couple days. Because, come to think of it, I'll need them on the 22nd and 23rd, their will be an art fest going on at Waldo flea market then. You should see about coming. I sent in my application, it's a lil over $40 for two days and that covers electricity, which I'll need for my laptop and bigger monitor and possibly my airbrush too. Hope you can make it. Maybe you could chill with me and sell some stuff too, it's a thought, and I'd be more than happy to help. Their are a few methods I use to overcome artist's block and it varies from time to time as to which method or methods I use. Try finding inspiration from different things like music, books or go for a walk. If you're working on something you can always come back to it later no matter how it takes. Researching the subject matter intensely helps too. Research different artist's and the types of mediums they use. Try reinventing some of your old artwork. Look up stuff like Steampunk or Gothic artwork and try to mix it in with something you've already done on a new piece or paper or canvas. Do real life studies or go to a park and start sketching out people, animals and trees. Don't worry about perfection, just sketch quickly what you see and you could come back to it later and maybe add your own twist to things. Doing these things trigger a part of your brain that kinda forces it to be creative. But, don't just do one method, do several of these at a time and keep doing them. Their are tons of different things you could do to spark up the imagination, I'm gonna give you a few links that have helped me in the past. Also their are many different methods I haven't mentioned either that could be of use for you. If I think of anything else I'll be sure to let you know. [link] [link] This one is for setting goals- [link] Some of these have methods I have already mentioned but some I didn't, [link] Here's one from someone on DeviantArt I like the 100 theme challenge. There are other types of challenges out there too. Make your own and see what comes of it. But, keep in mind if you decide to make one that you don't want to completely force yourself to do something you don't want to do, this is just to broaden you imagination and creative spark. [link] . Hope these help and good luck! not that you really need it, you are a very talented artist.

I hope the flea market was a success, I would have gone or try to get my work out for people to see I just have no transportation. Had to sell my car Thank you sooo very much for the different methods. I think I'm gonna go back over old assignments and do them the way I wanted in the first place

No problem. The flea market didn't really do so well. It was very small and not too many came for the art. It was nice to be around other artists though.
