Okay but just so you know, when I draw I use references from a 'How to draw Manga' book (like drawing up the 'dummies' (lol dummies..) and all that) Plus most of my recent works ('Love Neko Danni' to 'Danni and Uniform Sketches' plus 'Yuki Cross and her dolls' and 'Danni and Blue Phoenix sketch' are all sketches ('besides Joey Jackson in Summer uniform' and the others in colour or fully shaded.) If your judgement includes 'Crying Doll' and 'Danni in Lala Land Shaded' then that's rather insulting as I made sure these were perfect (although I'm annoyed with one of the boys in 'Danni in Lala Land shaded'.... ) ahh me and my drawing ego....>_<

Hey, just out of curiosity, what made you want to leave a comment about improving? 'cause that was sooooooo random and out-of-the-blue

I have a how to draw manga book, unfortunatly, I can't seem to use them. I just end up over analyzing the artist's technique and giving myself a huge headache... yet learning.

Well, I'd say about 90% or your art needs some type of anatomy work.
Ie: your current featured art work (the whole thing)... and many of your others... The ones that I will say were perfect (by personal opinion only) were the ones of Delta(?) and the one of "Love Neko Danni" was notably well done (the complexity of pose makes up for any anatomy mistakes because I'm sure it was difficult to draw... unless you copied it from a book....).

I'm not posting to bitch and complain, nore did I at any point indicate that you're "horrible". You just need a little improvement. So does Picaso.

I always give randome improvement comments, even to pros. And if not, I say something I would have prefered to have been done. If it's an opinion deriving from the meaning I receive from a meaningful peice of art, I indicate why I think it would look better with my suggestion. Art is ALWAYS inprovement. I would want someone to tell me what I need to work on.
Do you have any idea how long I sit and stare at a peice of art when it's finished to judge what I need improvement on? I have about a paragraph written on the page opposite a drawing, full of comments to myself about errors alone (they're on the opposite page because I have a hard cover, 1" thick sketchbook). I pick and beat myself up over EVERYTHING. I really prefer when someone else does it for me. It helps though, if you've ever looked at my art, you can see significant improvement.

At no point should you be insulted that someone finds that you've misproportioned something. Yes, it does look like you put alot of work in to Dani in lala land, but unfortunatly, it was one of the first pictures I made my response on.

If it makes you less upset, I can scan some of my comments from my sketchbook if you'd like to see how picky I am about my own art. It's offencive. : o I swear at myself in them, though. Mostly "Note to self: YOU (meaning me) ARE A DUMB***, YOU KNOW BETTER THAN THAT. DO YOU KNOW HOW MANY TIMES YOU'VE SCREWED UP LIKE THAT?" .___.; People are bewildered at this (half of my school wants to look at my new art every week... it's annoying).

Awwwhs don't gets headaches over books! Give books headaches >_< I just take a note of what they do and try to do that to my own style (like how they draw their 'dummies' and stuff)

Uh oh okays....I've been trying now sinse you're first comment to get them right. (emphasis on trying)
Personally, I think my one of Delta needs a lot. I finished it and was like 'her body structure doesn't look right' Some things weren't lined up properly. Oh and no way did I copy that "Love Neko Danni" sinse she's my own character, I'd offend myself if I copied it from a book.

Yeah I realised that you weren't bitching because of the end of your first comment. Sinse it had a smiley I thought it was just constructive critisism but it was probably because it was so random that I got upset (gosh I'm such a pansy )

Oh okays. I don't think I go through that extreme about my art work. As soon as I've done an error, I scribble it out and write comments about what I did wrong then I start again. I mainly get my friends to judge my work. I tell them to be honest but when they say they are, I still don't believe them. I'll have to admit, I do draw 'dummies' but I pay more attention to the minor details like hair, clothes and shading.

Na no need to do that. I do something like that. If I get really ticked off with my work and my drawings, I write comments like that to myself too. Then I'd verbally say it to myself. I don't think my critisisms to myself are as much as yours but it does make me wanna do better. Plus when I look at other peoples' art I say 'now why can't you (meaning me)draw like that? Why does your (yet again, meaning me) artwork suck?' It gives me inspiration to do better. I don't think people have read my critisisms to myself, they mainly hear them (I understand how you get annoyed at people wanting to see your art every week. My friends are like that (which I don't mind 'cause they're my friends) and sometimes randoms come up and see my drawings. They always say 'oh I wish I could draw like that' *sigh* its kind, but annoying )

oh & PS (from your last comment (not the one you just wrote)) : don't worry about me standing up in the boat. Knowing my luck, I'll find a way to make myself drenched or, more likely, fall out while you stay dry

I beat myself up too. I sometimes get depressed and quit drawing for about a week or two.

Probably. I was in a water tube once with another person, and we did a 360 in the air, like at 180 we were upside down. She fell off and I was still on it. I couldn't stop laughing.
