DeviantArt's literature community has struggled throughout time, the website is also
becoming less popular. I don't get much acknowledgement either.
My old account was pretty successful but I changed as an artist.
Thank you by the way. I also enjoyed your little vignette. I'm into sad and dark
poetry. Keep your head up though. Look into groups to submit work for critiques
and use the forms to join and become close with the community.

Long time no see!
Got myself a laptop and finally let my legs root here in Oregon.

Oregon, eh? Well I'm just over the river from you then, I'm in WA state. I shan't be here too much longer though (hopefully), we're supposed to be moving back to CA next month. We've been trying to move back since we moved up here 10-ish years ago! lolΒ If the roomie tells me we're staying another year, I might snap! But, it's all good I guess. Funny thing is though, 2 of the 3 dogs I adopted from here in WA actually got shipped here from CA! I'd ask: what are the odds? But apparently they're higher than I would have guessed. So, I guess when I do get back to CA, the dogs won't really have to "acclimate" to the warmer weather!

I did for a minute. I got caught up in running a non-profit student cooperative for a couple years.
I ended up leaving all that and started working on a blueberry farm. It was a lot of fun for a good
minute. Lots of doggos. So what make you want to leave Washington so badly?

I'm considering running a non-profit myself. I figure I have to put some of my "good" ideas to work! LOL
Oh, I think I was spoiled growing up in CA. I miss the sun. I miss the fact that people BATHE regularly! Really, if you smell so bad that I can't stand behind you in the grocery line, you ought to be forcibly soaked with a firehose and publicly humiliated! And people SPIT here! It's SO GROSS! I actually confronted a guy once after listening to him snot and swallow for half an hour. I was in a waiting room and I guess he had a cold, but still, I couldn't take it, I was like: "DUDE! Go find a tissue!" And he actually got mad at me! Ugh! But yeah, these people here are seriously lacking in "social skills." But... I miss the produce in CA too. We grow nearly 1/3 of the world's produce anyway, so "fresh" is the word of the day. I was all excited to try WA apples when I got here, and was sincerely disappointed! LOLΒ I miss going to decent restaurants too. I don't know, like I said, I think I was just spoiled growing up in CA. Every time I leave, I just want to go back! LOLΒ I don't miss the traffic though, that's gonna take some re-getting-used to!Β

Yeah, that and I finger pick like a monster now. I'm just waiting to get better equipment. My guitar is breaking and I can't sing like I want because my microphone can only handle a light singing style, but I have grungy folky roots too. And you definitely improved. I remember you from a few years back on my old profile. You're doing great!
