No worries dude! Hey, what shutter speed can you sync with your cactus v5s? I am worried I might be limited to 1/200 wireless, thus I am thinking TTL cable may be the one for me

flash sync on cactus goe to 1/1000 or even faster, but the question is what speed can your camera handle. Most cameras can handle up to 1/250 I think and if yours can handle up to 1/200 a sync cable will not change anything. [link]

Thanks, I read up and realised this minutes after posting haha. Yeah I am limited to 1/250, but after reading on I am convinced that will be sufficient for now as the flash does the work

you just have to make sure that for action you don't shoot at full power and the further down on power the quicker the flash. I'd usually shoot down from 1/2 but preferably from 1/4 power and down. Shooting just before dusk, and right after dawn are preferable for the best light.

Dude, how could I not? Your photos are so rad. I've always wanted to get into some skate photography after the likes of Atiba Jefferson. Also I recently purchased a 8mm fish-eye, so I'll be trying some out for real soon. I will look out for your photos in future issues of Thrasher

It's a lot of fun to do, best thing is also to get a speedlight and a ttl cable or dome remote triggers to flash your subjects. nakes it stand out just a bit better. I got my first add in the sidewalk skateboarder next month, so i am getting there
